IAL Background

IAL was founded in 2000 to enable communities for the development of local languages through education and training.

Eight diploma programs have been completed.

Class of 2003 - 10 students graduated with Diploma in Language Development Work

Class of 2005 - 10 students graduated with Diploma in Language Development Work

Class of 2008 - 9 students graduated with Diploma in Language Development Work; 2 students graduated with Diploma in Literacy

Class of 2010 - 5 students graduated with Diploma in Literacy

Class of 2014 - 14 students graduated with Diploma in Language Development Work

Class of 2018 - 4 students graduated with Diploma in Language Development Work; 8 students graduated with diploma in Translation Work; 8 students graduated with Diploma in Literacy

Class of 2020 - 9 students graduated with Diploma in Language Development Work

Class of 2023 - 10 students graduated with Diploma in Language Development Work

IAL Training Locations

IAL has two training locations in Sindh. The main location opened in Karachi in April 2000. A second location opened in Mirpurkhas in May 2003.
